Foundee is an platform for startups and co-founders developed in Laravel (PHP), Twitter Bootstrap, and Backbone.js.

I am the technical director and lead developer of Foundee.

Technologies include integration with the LinkedIn API, oAuth, cloud hosting, and a WordPress blog.

Brief:

The website needed to be updated from a static HTML site to be fully editable in WordPress, with improved SEO support, and with an updated design from Mike Leach Creative.

Mobile app: Geo-sight

Brief:
Develop cross platform iPhone and Android mobile app for a civil engineering group. The multiuser app is for onsite teams, capturing data about the state of the site, e.g. photos, GPS data, and form data, packaging the data up into submissions up to a web server to be processed by the technical team.

The iPhone app is available in the Apple App Store, and the Android app is distributed internally.

PhoneGap, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery Mobile, Backbone.js, Underscore templates, Xcode and Eclipse

Brief:
Implement core site development activities for a membership site, including a geo search. Site was based upon BuddyPress/WordPress.

Features:
Features developed include:

– Geo search – extensive customisation of BuddyPress Geo plugin to localise to the UK, and perform searches based upon member specialisms, and combine with keyword searches.
– Member document upload – allow file upload for site members
– Recently viewed profile plugin
– Other PHP-based site functionality.

Was lead developer on this CodeIgniter/Doctrine web application for the first 9 months, developing demonstrator and foundation of the current e-commerce platform, integrating with book data web services, ebook viewer DRM system, & payment gateway.
